A former Denver Broncos backup quarterback has a new NFL home.

The Arizona Cardinals recently signed quarterback Jeff Driskel to their practice squad. Driskel (6-4, 231 pounds) was a backup in Denver during the 2020 season. He went 0-1 as a fill-in starter that year, completing 54.7% of his passes for 432 yards with three touchdowns against two interceptions in two appearances. The 32-year-old journeyman has spent time with nine NFL teams. This will mark his second stint in Arizona.

Elsewhere on the ex-Bronco front, the Minnesota Vikings signed cornerback Fabian Moreau to their active roster, the Green Bay Packers promoted linebacker Kristian Welch to their 53-man roster, and the Washington Commanders signed wide receiver River Cracraft and defensive lineman DeMarcus Walker to their practice squad.

On the wide receiver front, KJ Hamler worked out for the Atlanta Falcons, the Cardinals signed Jalen Virgil to their practice squad and the Cleveland Browns signed Kaden Davis to their active roster. Cleveland also brought in safety Tanner McCalister for a workout.
