The Minnesota Vikings have added their name to the small list of teams that have signed their first-round draft pick from the 2025 class.

Late on Wednesday night, in the middle of the league announcing the schedule, the team announced they had come to terms with Donovan Jackson on his rookie contract. Jackson’s deal is for four years with a team option for a fifth year, as every first-round pick’s deal is. Jackson’s deal is worth a fully guaranteed $17.17 million, $9.42 million of which is a signing bonus.

After declaring for the draft, Jackson was drafted 24th overall in last month’s NFL Draft after finishing his college career at Ohio State.

Jackson will join a Vikings offensive line that will look to be a part of a revamped group that will be looking to keep their new franchise quarterback, J.J. McCarthy, safe. Jackson joins Ryan Kelly and Will Fries, who joined the team in free agency in March.

Jackson will be expected to compete with Blake Brandel for the left guard spot, a battle he is expected to win in training camp.
