Let’s take an updated look at the Jaguars’ linebacker depth chart following their latest roster move.

The Jacksonville Jaguars have made an addition at linebacker. So let’s take an updated look at the current state of this position group following the latest news.

The player added to the active roster is Branson Combs, who was signed from the practice squad to the 53-man.

Combs’ role on this Jaguars team will be as a special teams contributor.

He has appeared in two games this season as a practice squad elevation and played 32 snaps across four of the six different special teams phases.

Along with Combs’ contributions on teams, fellow linebackers Dennis Gardeck, Ventrell Miller, Jack Kiser, and Yasir Abdullah all rank top 10 on the Jaguars in special teams snaps played this season, according to PFF.

Leading the way defensively for the Jaguars at linebacker are Devin Lloyd and Foye Oluokun. Miller took over at middle linebacker for Lloyd when he was sidelined, while Gardeck is the third backer when the Jaguars are in their 4-3 base defense.

In order to make room for Combs on the roster, the Jaguars released defensive tackle Khalen Saunders. For a closer look at the current state of the Jacksonville depth chart at defensive tackle, you can find that here.
