Which NFL winning streaks are in danger heading into Week 11?
USA TODAY Sports’ Joe Rivera and Chris Bumbaca break down which teams riding a hot streak could be in danger of losing this this weekend.
The Dallas Cowboys are starting to get a little healthier as they prepare for their Monday Night Football game in Las Vegas, and former Texas Longhorn DeMarvion Overshown could be making his return from a year of rehab on his knee.
Dallas fired a general manager — but sorry, Cowboys fans, not that one. Jerry Jones is still the Cowboys GM, but the Dallas Mavericks moved on from their unpopular GM.
The Cowboys are also finalizing plans to honor the late Marshawn Kneeland after his death last week. Here is what the Cowboys are doing.
Since Dallas plays on Monday, their first official injury report of the week isn’t due until Wednesday, but the Cowboys made some positive moves Tuesday when linebacker DeMarvion Overshown was activated from the physically unable to perform list and rookie cornerback Shavon Revel was activated from the non-football injury list.
Both will likely be questionable for Monday’s game at Las Vegas, but both are now possibilities. Revel is coming off a torn ACL suffered last year at East Carolina, and before that, he was considered a potential first-round pick. He slipped to the third round and is now mostly healthy.Other questionable players are new linebacker Logan Wilson (calf), safety Donovan Wilson (shoulder and elbow) and offensive tackle Ajani Cornelius (knee).
The following is all the Cowboys players on injured reserve:
Trevon Diggs: Cornerback, has a concussion and knee injuryMiles Sanders: Running Back, dealing with knee and ankle issuesPerrion Winfrey: Defensive Tackle, back injuryMalik Hooker: Safety, toe injuryPayton Turner: Defensive End, ribs injuryJohn Stephens Jr.: Tight End, undisclosed injuryPhil Mafah: Running Back, shoulder injuryRob Jones: Guard, neck injuryTrevor Keegan: Guard, neck injuryÂ
Dallas Cowboys next game
The Cowboys will play the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday Night Football. Kickoff is at 6:15 p.m. MT/7:15 p.m. CT on ABC and ESPN.
GM fired
No, Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones hasn’t fired himself. The nearby Dallas Mavericks, however, fired their GM Nico Harrison, less than a year after the stunning trade of Luka Doncic. This move is sure to delight Mavericks fans who have been chanting “Fire Nico!” at games.
Marshawn Kneeland
The Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman who passed away last week will be honored with a helmet sticker for the rest of the year, and team leaders are currently reviewing the design.
They’ll also warm up in special t-shirts for their upcoming game against the Raiders and the following week against the Eagles, when Dallas returns to AT&T Stadium for its first game since Kneeland’s death.
Jones weighed in on the tragedy on his radio show Tuesday.
“Devastated,” Jones said to 105.3 The Fan. “Just hard to believe the content that was on the other phone in the middle of the night when we all got the news.
“I do want to say publicly how much I appreciate the national news, the national recognition of him. I thought it was so fitting that on the game Sunday night, all through Sunday, that they recognize the loss of Marshawn.”
Joe Milton
The Dallas Cowboys backup quarterback has played in two games this year, both mop-up duties in losses to Denver and Chicago. He is 6-for-9 passing with 99 yards, a touchdown and an interception in those two games.
Dallas Cowboys sweater
The NFL Pro Shop has a collection of sweaters for ugly sweater season, though most of these are sweatshirts, they are calling sweaters. Printerval.com specifically has an ugly Cowboy sweater for $26.95.
Dallas Cowboys trade rumors
The NFL trade deadline has come and gone. The latest trade news on the Cowboys front is that they included a poison pill in the Micah Parsons trade that means the Green Bay Packers can’t trade him to an NFC East team before 2026.
Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving halftime show
Still no official word on the Dallas Cowboys Thanksgiving halftime show. Still plenty of unofficial word that Post Malone will headline the show. Meanwhile, the Detroit Lions have announced Detroit resident Quinn XCII will play their halftime show on Thanksgiving.
Dallas Cowboys record
The Dallas Cowboys are 3-5-1.
