CLEVELAND —
Baltimore is no doubt hoping its second matchup with Cleveland this season mirrors its first.
A 24-point victory over the Browns (2-7) in Week 2 saw the Ravens (4-5) pick up their first, and largest, win of the season – and only win until Week 8.
The only real area of improvement? Not waiting until the third quarter to make the scoring gap with a division rival more than 10 points.
Baltimore is working to rise in the AFC North, improving from 1-5 to 4-5, and within one game of a tie for first place in the division.
Meanwhile, Cleveland is staying much the same as it’s known for by fans: the bottom-feeder of the division. Since losing Baker Mayfield, the Browns have struggled to find stability at quarterback, and the issue continues to fuel a dysfunctional offense.
However, despite the Browns finishing below .500 every season except two (2020, 2023) in Head Coach John Harbaugh’s tenure, Cleveland has split the season series with Baltimore in each of the last four seasons.
If the Ravens want to continue on their improbable postseason push, splitting again with Cleveland would seriously hinder their chances.
