Jason Kelce gave Green Bay rave reviews during his visit for the “Monday Night Football” game Nov. 10 between the Packers and his former team, the Philadelphia Eagles.

Jason Kelce, who retired last year from the Eagles, was in town because he is an analyst for “Monday Night Countdown,” ESPN’s live pregame show.

He recapped his visit to Green Bay and Lambeau Field on the latest Nov. 12 episode of the podcast “New Heights,” which he does with his brother, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.

Jason Kelce hit several of the city’s classics leading up to the game.

One thing was clear: he loved the city.

“I just love cold weather people. There’s just a camaraderie or communal aspect,” Jason Kelce said on the podcast.

Here’s what made it on Kelce’s true Wisconsin itinerary.

Tour of Lambeau Field

Kelce started out the Green Bay experience with a tour of Lambeau Field with his dad, Ed, on Nov. 9. Like any Wisconsinite knows, Travis Kelce called it one of the “most sacred” things you could do in the NFL.

Jason Kelce’s review: It’s even better than Philadelphia at telling the team’s history, he said on the podcast. (Warning: The podcast includes some swearing.)

Legend Larry’s

After the tour, Kelce stopped by Legend Larry’s, 2035 University Ave.

Kelce’s order: chicken wings, other fried food and seven Spotted Cows, made by New Glarus Brewing Co. and not sold outside Wisconsin.

“Because when you’re in Wisconsin, you’re going to drink a Spotted Cow or two,” Kelce said.

The next stop on the Wisconsin itinerary was the supper club experience. Kelce stopped by Schwarz Supper Club in New Holstein. He ordered dinner while sipping an Old-Fashioned at the bar.

He had a “freaking dinosaur” of a prime rib. “I think it was a joke from the kitchen,” he said. He topped off dinner with an ice cream drink.

Titletown district

Kelce went ice skating at Hy-Vee Plaza at Titletown district. Cheese was on the menu. He was gifted free cheese curds at the ice rink and more at Stadium View’s tailgate from “Cheese Curd Nick.” Kelce called them the best ones he ever had.

Kelce also joined a blindfold cheese tasting test against two Eagles and Packers fans. His favorite was the “unreal” cherry cheddar cheese from Door County.

Try the Kelce challenge

Legend Larry’s has dubbed his meals the “Kelce challenge” — a dozen wings, seven Spotted Cows, one Old-Fashioned, a shot of Jaegermeister, a jumbo prime rib and an ice cream drink.

While Kelce’s stomach may not have known what to do with all of Wisconsin’s hits, Kelce could not have given Green Bay a better review after he left.

“I loved every second of it, Wisconsin.” he said.
