Arizona Cardinals cornerback Will Johnson, right tackle Jonah Williams, pass rusher Baron Browning and safety Dadrion “Rabbit” Taylor-Demerson are among many players ruled out for Sunday’s Week 11 against the San Francisco 49ers.
They join wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. (appendicitis) and MIKE backer Mack Wilson Sr. (ribs), who were ruled out earlier in the week with their respective issues.
Among those questionable are guard Will Hernandez, defensive lineman Walter Nolen III, edge rusher BJ Ojulari, defensive lineman Darius Robinson and running back Zonovan Knight.
Johnson will miss his second straight game with a hip and back issue. He hasn’t logged a full day of practice since Week 9.
With Johnson sidelined, rookie Denzel Burke is expected to see more playing time. The young cornerback is coming off back-to-back games with an interception.
With Williams on the shelf, Kelvin Beachum would slide in as Arizona’s starting right tackle if available. Beachum is also questionable with a groin issue.
Linebacker Josh Sweat is good to go, as is cornerback Max Melton.
For the 49ers, head coach Kyle Shanahan announced Thursday that quarterback Brock Purdy will return on Sunday. Purdy has not played since Week 4 with a toe injury but has been a full practice participant over the last two days.
Wideout Ricky Pearsall, a former Sun Devil, was also full-go in practice and will play after missing time with a knee injury.
