The official 2025 NFL regular season schedule has been released, and the Washington Commanders have their work cut out for them this season. Never mind that last year’s odds to win the Super Bowl were 150-1 and this year’s odds are 16-1; it’s not going to be easy. They start off the season hosting the New York Giants, followed by a Thursday night game where they travel to Green Bay, Wisconsin, to face the Packers. And that’s just the beginning.

Commanders head coach Dan Quinn broke down the five games that stand out to him the most for the upcoming season.

“Adam and I, we’re pumped to get this thing rocking again,” Quinn starts. “As a coach, you look for the home opener, what’s that look like, where it’s going. When I looked at ours specifically, there were a couple that came to mind: 9/11 at Green Bay, for us living in D.C., 9/11, what a cool honor. It hits a little different being in D.C., and then to go to Spain and three night games in D.C. You know we only had one of those last year, Laura, and it was Week 17 and it was absolutely lit. So, for us to get some more night games, at home, that’s really cool.”

The Commanders have five primetime games in 2025, plus the game in Madrid, plus a Christmas Day game against the Dallas Cowboys, and they’ll end their season on a Saturday in an NFC Championship rematch against the Philadelphia Eagles.
