“At the end of the day, Sunday’s win in Carolina doesn’t change much in New Orleans.

The Saints are still a bad team that will likely be looking for a long-term quarterback in next year’s draft. But while addressing the media, rookie signal-caller Tyler Shough said it still felt good to win.

“It was a great feeling in the locker room I think, with everybody just kind of dancing, you’re having fun in there, but it just kind of came down to just playing complimentary football and we played together,” he said.

The 26-year-old was sharp in Week 10, becoming the first Saints rookie to win a start under center since Dave Wilson in 1981.

New Orleans will get to enjoy its off week, but this remains a cellar-dweller headed for a full rebuild—and Shough’s professional future is probably as a backup. — Davenport”
