Here is the latest injury update on Indianapolis Colts’ DT DeForest Buckner.

#Colts DT DeForest Buckner shared via IG that he recently traveled to Panama for regenerative stem cell treatment, presumably to address the neck injury that sent him to IR.

“The Comeback is going to be Legendary ‼️” Buckner wrote.

The earliest he could return is in Week 15. pic.twitter.com/5egaFj1EnZ

Indianapolis Colts defensive tackle DeForest Buckner is currently on injured reserve as he works through a neck injury.

To help treat the injury, Buckner posted on his Instagram page that he traveled to Panama recently for stem cell injections.

According to Mike Chappell, Buckner also visited the same facility last year when he was on injured reserve with an ankle injury.

Last Sunday’s game against Atlanta was the first that Buckner had missed. Being on injured reserve, he has to sit out a minimum of four games, which means the earliest he could return is in Week 15 against Seattle.

Buckner brings a do-it-all presence up front, ranking second on the team in pressures, according to PFF, and first on the team in run defense tackles.

Without him last week, the Colts relied primarily on a three-man rotation at defensive tackle, with Neville Gallimore and Adetomiwa Adebawore stepping into larger roles in his absence.

The Colts’ run defense this season ranks 12th in yards per rush allowed, while the pass rush has been up and down at times when it comes to generating steady pressure on the opposing quarterback.

Getting after the quarterback consistently obviously becomes a more difficult task without Buckner in the middle.
