Wilson is the latest starter to land on injured reserve.
The Arizona Cardinals have another starting player on injured reserve. The latest is linebacker Mack Wilson. Among the roster moves the team announced the day before they play the San Francisco 49ers in Week 11, Wilson was placed on injured reserve for the rib injury he suffered in Week 9 against the Dallas Cowboys, meaning he is out at least for the next four games.
Wilson already missed one game, as he was ruled out of last week’s 44-22 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. At minimum, he will miss games against the 49ers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Los Angeles Rams.
Wilson’s trip to IR means that rookie Cody Simon will get a full month at least to show he can handle being a starter. He started last week against Seattle and had six tackles and a pass breakup.
Wilson is yet another of the Cardinals’ starters and key contributors to spend time on injured reserve this season. Others are quarterback Kyler Murray, running back James Conner, running back Trey Benson, receiver Zay Jones, tight end Tip Reiman and cornerback Garrett Williams.
