Former Cincinnati Bengals running back Trayveon Williams has a new team.

In the wake of NFL landmark events like the draft and the schedule release, the former Bengals mainstay on the depth chart has latched on with the New England Patriots ahead of the summer, according to Mark Daniels of MassLive.

Williams initially joined the Bengals via the sixth round of the draft in 2019, serving as key depth in the backfield and as a core presence on special teams. That earned him one-year contract extensions in 2023 and 2024.

The Bengals revamped the running back room over the last few seasons, shipping away Joe Mixon. Zack Moss joined last year and the team brought back Samaje Perine this offseason before drafting Tahj Brooks late in the draft.
