The Seattle Seahawks have the showdown of the season this afternoon against the Los Angeles Rams. Both teams will be vying for sole share of first place in the NFC West. Currently, Seattle and Los Angeles are enjoying 7-2 starts, with the Seahawks in first place due to a better in-division record.
This is the marquee matchup of the weekend, certainly far more compelling than either prime time game tonight or tomorrow night. We at Seahawks Wire, as well as our colleagues at Rams Wire, give you our official predictions for Week 11, as well as provide betting information for those who gamble responsibly.

Rams 27, Seahawks 21: Every single time I have picked the Seahawks to beat the Rams in a game that actually matters during the Sean McVay era, I am once again reminded that I am Charlie Brown, and they are Lucy with the football. Sean McVay has the secret sauce to beating the Seahawks. Since 2017 he is 11-6 over the Seahawks… and realistically, the record should be closer to 16-1. Three of those wins came against backups John Wolford, Baker Mayfield in Week 18, and Jimmy Garoppolo in Week 18 when the Rams sat everyone. There was also a 30-29 game the Seahawks won because LA missed a game winning field goal, and a 16-10 game in 2017 when rookie Cooper Kupp dropped the game-winning touchdown (I’m sure we can count on one hand how many times that’s happened since). The Seahawks and Rams are both playing their best football of the season, and I do believe the Seahawks have closed the gap. But I’m going to go with the more experienced team, in terms of players and coaching, on Sunday.

Rams 27, Seahawks 24: The Seahawks hit a snag in their bid to take control of the NFC West. Matthew Stafford continues on his MVP quest by slightly outdueling Sam Darnold as the Rams narrowly edge out Seattle.

Rams 27, Seahawks 20: The Rams have been rolling, and while the Seahawks have the same record, Los Angeles just feels like they have more talent. Los Angeles should be able to win this weekend and claim sole possession of first place in the NFC West.
