ANALYSIS: The Packers down the Giants to snap a two-game losing streak

Pete Dougherty joins Dominique Yates for instant reaction to the Packers’ 27-20 win over the Giants.

The Green Bay Packers have been hit hard by injuries in 2025.

And it didn’t stop against the New York Giants in Week 11 on Sunday, Nov. 11.

For a while, it seemed like nearly every possession a player was getting checked out or leaving the field in what turned out to be a 27-20 win for the Packers at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

It started with Packers quarterback Jordan Love, who didn’t stay out long, it continued with Josh Jacobs, who didn’t return. And others were tended to throughout the game.

Here’s a full list of Packers players who departed at one point or another for injuries:

Packers QB Jordan Love shown heading to locker room after injuring shoulder

Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love took a big hit and went back to the locker room with a shoulder injury.

Jordan Love

On the Packers’ second offensive possession, Jordan Love was first to get an injury.

As he was scrambled to the right side on a 1st and 20, he lowered his shoulder after gaining 4 yards to get to the New York 40-yard line. But in the process, he took a hard hit by linebacker Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles.

Love went to the sideline and was immediately checked out in the blue medical tent. And not long after Love ran to the locker room.

Backup quarterback Malik Willis entered the game and threw a touchdown pass to wide receiver Christian Watson to finish that drive.

Willis filled in for Love on multiple occasions in 2024, including two starts. Love, however, returned on the Packers’ next offensive possession, leading a 10-play 84-yard touchdown drive. Love finished the game and didn’t appear to have any lingering effects from the injury as he delivering multiple long passes in the wind and a touchdown strike to Christian Watson late in the fourth quarter.

In his post-game press conference, Love said while the shoulder injury wasn’t enjoyable to play through it was “manageable.”

Josh Jacobs

This is a big one.

Jacobs has been Mr. Durable since arriving in Green Bay.

The running back played in all 17 games last season and had yet to miss a game in 2025. But that’s now in jeopardy.

Jacobs exited Sunday’s game with a knee injury early in the second quarter after having seven carries for 40 yards. His longest run was for 15 yards.

Jacobs’ last runs came on the team’s first touchdown drive as the Packers were knocking on the door to the end zone. He had a 4-yard run to get to the 1-yard line followed by a run for no gain before Willis found Watson for a touchdown. After that drive, Jacobs left the sideline for the locker room. He was initially questionable to return but after halftime was ruled out.

ESPN is reporting that the injury doesn’t appear to be season-ending and more tests will be done on Monday.

In 10 games this season, Jacobs has 169 carries for 648 yards and 11 rushing touchdowns. He also has 28 receptions for 237 yards. His five-game touchdown streak was snapped today.

“I think anytime a player, especially of his magnitude, but anytime a player doesn’t finish a game, you’re always concerned about the welfare of them,” head coach Matt LaFleur said in his post-game press conference.

Romeo Doubs

Romeo Doubs had a rough day.

While he had a team-high four catches for 53 yards on eight targets, he dropped multiple passes and he appeared banged up on at least two occasions.

One occurred right before halftime. The fourth-year wide receiver was on his back after he attempted a diving catch. He jogged off on his own power but was looked at on the sidelines.

And later in the game, TV cameras caught a trainer tending to Doubs’ face. Doubs, who wears a Guardian Cap after two concussions in 2024, exited last week’s game with a chest injury.

Quay Walker

Linebacker Quay Walker suffered a stinger in his shoulder in the third quarter.

The injury happened when the Packers’ former first-round pick was making a tackle on a first-down run by Giants running back Tyrone Taylor Jr.

Little-used linebacker Ty’Ron Hopper replaced Walker.
