After a big-time letdown last weekend, Carolina Panthers quarterback Bryce Young was facing some serious questions about his future in the NFL.
His highly-ineffective performance against a one-win team in an embarrassing 17-7 loss yielded only 124 passing yards. When combined with his previous two outings, Young had thrown for an alarmingly-bad 364 yards over a three-game stretch.
But he blew that number out of the water with just one clutch offering on Sunday.
Young, in leading the Panthers to a thrilling 30-27 win over the Atlanta Falcons, completed 31 of his 45 attempts for 448 yards and three touchdowns. Those 448 yards are not only a new career-high for the former No. 1 overall pick, but also a new single-game franchise record for the Panthers.
