The Commanders won the toss and deferred to the second half. It took some time for the defense to wake up, as the Dolphins zoomed to the Commanders’ 32-yard line on three plays. De’Von Achane was heavily involved in the drive, as he had runs of 14 and 24 yards. The defense finally managed a stop inside their 30-yard line, and after the Dolphins were called for a delay of game on fourth-and-1, Miami had to settle for a field goal.
Now it’s time for the Commanders’ offense to take the field. They have four running backs active today, so we’ll see how heavily they lean on the run game.
