A lot was going on during the Week 11 afternoon slate of games, and it was capped off by the Denver Broncos’ huge victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, 22-19. This was Denver’s eighth consecutive win, as they improved to 9-2 and sit atop the AFC next to Indianapolis, which is also 9-2 but holds a head-to-head tiebreaker over the Broncos.
In another close late afternoon game, the Cleveland Browns came up short against the Baltimore Ravens, 23-16. This game saw the regular-season debut of Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders after Dillon Gabriel left the game with a concussion. Sander passed for just 47 yards and an interception.
Bills quarterback Josh Allen had a huge day, scoring six touchdowns and passing for 317 yards against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as Buffalo rolled 44-32. Allen threw three touchdown strikes and ran for another three, gaining 40 yards on the ground.
Pittsburgh cruised against Cincinnati, 34-12, and got a huge help with two defensive touchdowns. However, it wasn’t all good for the Steelers as they lost quarterback Aaron Rodgers to a wrist injury. Steelers’ cornerback Jalen Ramsey was ejected from the game after an altercation with Bengals wideout Ja’Marr Chase in which Ramsey claims Chase spat on him.
The LA Rams beat division rival Seattle on the back of four Sam Darnold interceptions. The Seahawks quarterback passed for 279 yards, but those turnovers were the difference in the 21-19 loss. Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford passed for just 130, but he did throw two touchdown passes. Los Angeles sits atop the NFC West in sole possession of first place.
Carolina won again, beating Atlanta in overtime 30-27. Bryce Young had a career day, passing for 448 yards and three touchdowns. Young surpassed Cam Newton’s franchise mark of 432 yards in a single game in the win. The Falcons had another quarterback change in the loss as Kirk Cousins entered the game for Michael Penix Jr., who suffered a knee injury.
