Police have released surveillance images of a suspect in the Manhattan shooting of New York Jets cornerback Kris Boyd.
The smiling suspect was caught on camera at the scene where Boyd, 29, was shot in the abdomen after leaving a trendy restaurant in Midtown at about 2 a.m. Sunday.
The gunman fled the scene after the gunshots rang out, police said.

The suspect was last spotted wearing a black cap, black sweatshirt, black pants, multi-colored sneakers and carrying a black book bag.
It wasn’t immediately clear if the suspect pictured in the surveillance knew Boyd, who was hospitalized in critical but stable condition.
The cornerback told cops he’d been inside the Sei Less eatery on West 38th Street with friends but decided to leave because the “vibe” was off and he sensed tension, sources said.
