The San Francisco 49ers defeated the Arizona Cardinals 41-22 on Sunday at State Farm Stadium to finish off the season sweep over their division rivals and to improve to 7-4 on the season.
San Francisco’s offense got a boost back with Brock Purdy reinserted into the starting lineup under center, as the quarterback completed 73.1% of his passes for 200 yards and three touchdowns. Running back Christian McCaffrey also rushed for 81 yards and two scores on 6.2 yards per attempt.
The defense also had a strong start, forcing a fumble and intercepting two passes before giving up two touchdowns on their last two possessions.
