COLUMBUS — High school football seasons are coming to a close across the country. Several Ohio State commits have had strong seasons and are looking to lead their respective teams on a deep playoff run.
Rivals has released its update 2026 Rivals300 on Monday. The list includes double-digit Buckeyes including three five-star prospects, which is the most of any school.
Lettermen Row takes a few moments to break down the 12 members of the Ohio State 2026 class in updated 2026 the Rivals 300.
Khary Wilder
Five-star EDGE commit Khary Wilder remains the highest-ranked Ohio State commitment in the 2026 Rivals300. The Gardena (Calif.) Junipero Serra standout jumped three spots and as No. 11 overall prospect in the updated rankings. Wilder dominated at the Rivals Five-Star Challenge this summer and carried it over to his senior season.
Jay Timmons
The second highest-ranked Buckeye in the updated 2026 Rivals300 is actually recent commit Jay Timmons. The Gibsonia (Pa.) Pine-Richland standout is now a five-star and the No. 12 overall prospect in the 2026 class, according to the Rivals. Ohio State flipped Timmons from Florida State following his official visit for the Penn State game.
Chris Henry Jr.
Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei wide receiver Chris Henry Jr. has had a very strong senior season which helped him move up in updated 2026 Rivals300. Henry is the No. 15 overall prospect in the 2026 class, according to the Rivals, which means he has regained his five-star status. The long-time Buckeye commitment seems to be ascending at the right time.
Sam Greer
Four-star Akron (Ohio) Archbishop Hoban offensive lineman Sam Greer slid a few spots in the updated 2026 Rivals 300. He is now the No. 33 overall prospect in the 2026 class, according to Rivals. The 6-foot-7, 320-pound Greer is the highest-ranked non five-star in the updated rankings. If the cycle were to end today, he would finish one spot short of five-star status.
Blaine Bradford
Four-star Baton Rouge (La.) Catholic safety Blaine Bradford also dropped a few spots in the updated 2026 Rivals 300. Rivals now ranks Bradford as the No. 67 overall prospect in the updated rankings. The 6-foot-1, 195-pound Bradford chose the Buckeyes over hometown LSU in April. Bradford has since made multiple return trips to Columbus including for UCLA game over the weekend.
Damari Simeon
Four-star Richland (N.J.) St. Augustine Prep defensive lineman Damari Simeon remains rankings outlier for Rivals. He is now the No. 75 overall prospect in updated 2026 Rivals 300 while no other recruiting outlet has him inside the top-300 of their rankings. Simeon has had a strong senior season for the Hermits
Cincere Johnson
Four-star Cleveland (Ohio) Glenville linebacker Cincere Johnson fell just two spots to No. 94 overall in updated 2026 Rivals 300. He remains a consensus top-100 recruit, however. Regardless of his ranking, Johnson was a top target for linebackers coach James Laurinaitis this cycle.
Jerquaden Guilford
There were two Ohio State commitments that made their Rivals300 debut in this most recent update. Four-star Fort Wayne (Ind.) Northrop wide receiver Jerquaden Guilford is one of them. He is now the No. 131 overall prospect in the 2026 class, according to Rivals. Guilford was previously a three-star prospect.
Jordan Thomas
Four-star commit Jordan Thomas slotted in one spot behind Guilford in the updated 2026 Rivals 300. The Oradell (N.J.) Bergen Catholic standout is now the No. 132 overall prospect in the country, according to Rivals. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound Thomas was the long-time target for cornerbacks coach Tim Walton this cycle.
Legend Bey
Another recent Ohio State flip, four-star North Forney (Texas) running back Legend Bey is now the No. 140 overall prospect in the updated 2026 Rivals 300. The Buckeyes flipped Bey from Tennessee a week after his official visit for the Penn State game.
Favour Akih
Four-star Delaware (Ohio) Hayes running back Favour Akih is now the No. 268 overall prospect in the updated 2026 Rivals 300. Akih is another prospect that Rivals is somewhat higher on than most of recruiting industry, despite missing the first few games of his senior season with an injury.
Nick Lautar
The final Ohio State commit in the updated 2026 Rivals 300 is another recent flip. Four-star Lebanon (Ohio) tight end Nick Lautar debuts as the No. 294 overall prospect in the class. Lautar flipped from Louisville on Sunday after receiving an offer from the Buckeyes on Saturday.
