Cam Skattebo isn’t one to back down from a fight — whether he’s healthy or not.
The Giants rookie running back stood his ground after receiving backlash for participating in a ringside fracas during a WWE event at Madison Square Garden on Monday night while still recovering from a season-ending ankle injury.
Skattebo, sitting ringside for John Cena’s final “Monday Night Raw” appearance, led comedian Andrew Schulz and some Giants teammates into a shoving match with The Judgment Day faction during the show.
While the segment induced a clamoring ovation from the Garden crowd, it raised some concerns among the Giants faithful — who watched Skattebo participate in a scripted confrontation while rehabbing from the dislocated ankle and fractured fibula he suffered in Week 8.
Skattebo wasn’t concerned by the outrage, saying he was simply enjoying himself during a difficult recovery process.
“Aye, honestly if you don’t like that I’m having a good time while dealing with a tough time, then just go ahead and unfollow and casually move on,” he wrote in a post to X on Tuesday afternoon.
“I’m not able to play football and have the fun I’ve been having my whole life, so I am doing things outside the box trying to find stuff to keep me happy,” he added. “Enjoy the rest of y’all’s week and just don’t talk about me if you ain’t got nothing nice to say.”

Dominik Mysterio, JD McDonagh and Finn Balor of The Judgment Day crashed a ringside interview with Schulz — promoting his new Netflix special — after they lost to Cena, Sheamus and Rey Mysterio in a six-man tag match.
Dominik Mysterio snatched the mic and taunted Schulz, as well as the Big Blue members sitting behind him — centering his verbal attack on the fan-favorite back.
“The only good thing that’s coming out of New York City is standing right in front of you,” Mysterio said. “The only champion New York has seen in … can you count, Cam? How many years? He don’t know. He can’t count.”
Mysterio shoved the comedian, then Skattebo — who was ditching his scooter for the first time publicly — popped up to his feet and pushed McDonagh to the ground.
Chaos ensued over the barricade, with Skattebo’s teammates, including fellow rookie Abdul Carter, joining the action to push back and forth with Judgment Day until the skirmish was broken up.
Skattebo remained standing the whole time and even stuck his tongue out as the faction retreated.
The Giants weren’t the only NFL squad at the Garden on Monday night, as members of the Eagles — against whom Skattebo got hurt — were also in attendance for Cena’s last dance at the World’s Most Famous Arena.
They were greeted with a chorus of boos.
Perhaps Skattebo, who has passed the scooter stage and is now in a walking boot, would have received a more positive reaction from fans had he gotten into it with “Big Dom” of the Eagles instead of “Dirty Dom.”

Tyrone Tracy Jr., though, was right there with most Giants fans.
Tyrone Tracy Jr. was every Giants fan when he saw Skattebo mixed up in a shoving match with professional wrestlers.
Skattebo and a couple of his Giants teammates were part of a scripted stunt in the crowd Monday night at “Monday Night Raw” at Madison Square Garden that went viral because the running back was shoved while wearing a walking boot to heal his dislocated ankle and fractured fibula.
“I wasn’t there but you best believe I was fighting,” said Tracy, who replaced Skattebo as the starter. “I was fighting at home, telling him to duck. Sit down! But Cam’s a wild man. Everybody knows that. He’s going to go out there and do what he does.”

Skattebo reported to the Giants training facility Tuesday morning for his normal treatment and rehab and was no worse for the wear than he was Monday despite the angst his antics caused everyone — including Giants legend Michael Strahan.
“I was supposed to go [to Raw], but I’m glad I didn’t because I would’ve fought Skattebo for fighting on a broken ankle,” Strahan said on “Good Morning America,” according to WFAN host radio Danielle McCartan. “What are you doing man?! We need you to play football! Don’t hurt yourself doing that! That was ‘real enough’ for him to really get hurt.”
Skattebo has been sidelined since undergoing season-ending surgery in the hours after his injury on Oct. 26, was joined by teammates Abdul Carter, Dalen Cambre and Roy Robertson-Harris and director of player engagement Darien Harris at MSG.
“Skatt’s crazy, so he probably had some extra in there,” said left tackle Andrew Thomas, who has his own history of foot and ankle injuries. “But I’m not worried about him. He’s going to trust and do everything it takes to be back when he’s ready.”
