Compared to their 2025 opponents, the Jacksonville Jaguars will have a very slight rest advantage over the course of the upcoming season.

With schedules for all 32 teams now official, we can see that the Jaguars have one additional rest day over their opponents. This ranks right around the middle of the pack at 17th.

There are two instances this season where the Jaguars have a one-day rest advantage. The first comes in Week 3, where they face the Houston Texans, who will be coming off a Monday Night game the week prior.

The second one-day advantage comes in Week 17 against Indianapolis, who like Houston, play a Monday Night game the week before.

On the flip side, the one instance that the Jaguars are at a rest disadvantage is in Week 6, when they are the ones coming off the Monday Night game.

The biggest rest advantage swing comes when one team is coming off its bye. However, the Jaguars and Las Vegas Raiders share the same bye week this season, so there is no advantage to be gained.

The good news is that at no other point in the season will the Jaguars play an opponent who just had their bye week.

For the most part, rest-wise, things are pretty even this season for the Jaguars and their opponents.

In determining the difficulty of a schedule for a team, it can go beyond just who the opponent is. While the amount of rest a team has compared to their opponents isn’t the be-all end-all, over the course of a long NFL season, it is noteworthy.

Additional time between games means more time to prepare and more time to rest up and get healthy.
