The Cardinals are 12th in the NFC, but three teams in the NFC West would make the playoffs if the season ended now.

The NFL playoff race is beginning to heat up. In the NFC, the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles are setting themselves up nicely for a postseason run. Entering Week 12 of the season, they are in the No. 1 seed in the conference and, if the season ended today, would have a first-round bye in the playoffs.

As for the rest of the conference, the LA Rams are now in the NFC West lead and the Chicago Bears lead the NFC North.

The NFC West has two wild card teams in the Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers.

The Arizona Cardinals, sitting at 3-7, are 12th in the NFC.
