As the NFL heads into Week 12, several teams are dealing with some major injury questions. The 2025 NFL season is nearing its conclusion in November, so teams are facing a crunch time for maintaining healthy bodies.
For NFL fans and fantasy managers, the injury list is critical for understanding who might be out or limited in the upcoming games. Here’s a breakdown of the notable injuries and what you need to know about them heading in.
Bucky Irving, RB, and Chris Godwin, WR, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
On Tuesday, Buccaneers head coach Todd Bowles offered an update on the status of running back Bucky Irving and wide receiver Chris Godwin.
According to Bowles, both players will see more action in practice this week. Irving has been dealing with foot and shoulder injuries, while Godwin has been dealing with a fibula injury.
According to the PFSN NFL RB Impact metrics, Irving has an NFL RB Impact Score of 61.4 and grades out at a D-. According to the PFSN NFL Offense Impact metrics, the Buccaneers have an NFL Offense Impact Score of 73.4 and grade out at a C.
Trey Benson and Emari Demercado, RBs, Arizona Cardinals
Cardinals running back Trey Benson has been sidelined with a knee injury and remains on Injured Reserve at this time. The Cardinals have not announced any updates on his status as of Tuesday.
Benson’s return, though, might be soon, with news coming out on fellow Cardinals running back Emari Demercado. ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter reported on Tuesday that Demercado suffered a high ankle sprain against the San Francisco 49ers last Sunday. It looks like Demercado will miss Arizona’s next game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Joe Mixon, RB, C.J. Stroud, QB, and Jalen Pitre, S, Houston Texans
There remains no new update on the status of Texans running back Joe Mixon. When Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans met with reporters on Tuesday, he didn’t have any new news on Mixon.
But Texans general manager Nick Caserio, in an appearance on Sports Radio 610 in Houston, offered some thoughts about Mixon potentially returning.
“It’s a very gray situation,” Caserio said. “Joe’s worked at it. There were times where he’s made progress and other times when the progress is kinda stalled. Obviously we’re getting pretty late in the game here, I don’t want to establish any sort of expectations. I don’t think we have anymore clarity at this point.”
As for quarterback C.J. Stroud and safety Jalen Pitre, Ryans said that both players, who are currently in concussion protocol, have been ruled out of Thursday’s game against the Buffalo Bills. With Stroud out, backup quarterback Davis Mills will make his third straight start for the Texans. Stroud, though, did return to the Texans’ practice field on Tuesday.
Additionally, ESPN Texans reporter DJ Bien-Aime reported on Tuesday that Stroud is expected to be available for the team’s Week 13 game on the road against the Indianapolis Colts.
According to the PFSN NFL Offense Impact metrics, the Texans have an NFL Offense Impact Score of 71.0, grading out to a C-.

According to the PFSN NFL WR Impact metrics, Thomas has an NFL WR Impact Score of 67.9 and grades out to a D+.
Aaron Rodgers, QB, Pittsburgh Steelers
Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers left last Sunday’s game with an injured left wrist. On Tuesday, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin said that Rodgers has a fracture in his left wrist that will not need surgery, according to Schefter. His status for Sunday’s game against the Chicago Bears remains uncertain at this time.
