The Dolphins improved their record to 4-7 with a victory over the Washington Commanders in overtime. It’s the first time this season Miami has won back-to-back games.
It was an impressive day for the Miami defense that held the Commanders offense to 13 points. Linebacker Jordyn Brooks recorded a season-high 20 tackles, adding to his league-leading clip that now stands at 125 tackles with six games left.
The game clinching play in overtime was made by cornerback Jack Jones, who recorded his first interception with the Dolphins in the first play of overtime, which helped set up the eventual game-winning Riley Patterson field goal.
On offense, it was another big day for running back De’Von Achane, who totaled 120 rushing yards on 21 carries, averaging 5.7 yards per carry. He also caught five passes for 45 yards, bringing his all-purpose total to 165. The Miami offense didn’t turn the ball over once.
