The Carolina Panthers‘ “Cali Connection” has just done something no other NFL duo has here in 2025.
Quarterback Bryce Young and wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan were both named FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week on Wednesday afternoon. Young and McMillan, thanks to their heroics from this past Sunday, are the first pair of teammates this season to win the honor in the same week.
Young, in Carolina’s thrilling 30-27 victory over the Atlanta Falcons, completed 31 of his 45 throws for a career-high and franchise-record 448 yards and three touchdowns. The third-year passer and former No. 1 overall pick also earned his first NFC Offensive Player of the Week nod for the performance earlier in the day.
McMillan recorded a career day as well, reeling in eight of Young’s completion for 130 yards and two touchdowns. The 2025 first-round pick now enters Week 12 as the league’s sixth-leading receiver (748 yards).
