Allen Park — The Detroit Lions did not practice on Wednesday but provided a lengthy estimated practice report, listing five players as non-participants.

Cornerback Terrion Arnold (concussion), safety Brian Branch (toe), offensive tackle Taylor Decker (shoulder), safety Kerby Joseph (knee) and offensive tackle Penei Sewell (ankle) were all listed as non-participants.

Speaking on Branch and Arnold, specifically, head coach Dan Campbell said: “We kind of had to list that because we’re doing a walkthrough today, and it’s kind of an estimation. Had we gone on the grass, would they practice? We’re kind of saying, ‘I don’t think so.’ We probably would’ve held them back. But I feel OK. Branch, I think we’re gonna be OK. Arnold’s still kind of day-to-day, so we’ll see. But I feel good about Branch. A lot better.”

The Lions had eight players who were limited: Edge defender Marcus Davenport (shoulder), center Graham Glasgow (knee), edge defender Josh Paschal (back), offensive guard Tate Ratledge (knee), cornerback D.J. Reed (hamstring), wide receiver Isaac TeSlaa (oblique), running back Sione Vaki (ankle) and tight end Brock Wright (ankle).

Campbell said he’s “hopeful” the team could get Reed back this week, “but a lot is gonna be … determined” during full-speed practices Thursday and Friday.

Until Thursday’s practice report comes out, it probably isn’t worth reading too much into the designations. Most of the players who were listed as non-participants and or limited participants were absent in last week’s practices.

On a more positive front, there were four players dealing with injuries who were listed as full practice: Offensive lineman Miles Frazier (knee), wide receiver Kalif Raymond (cramping), linebacker Malcolm Rodriguez (knee) and running back Jacob Saylors (back).
