LANDOVER, Md (DC News Now) – It’s a brand new year, season, and schedule for the Washington Commanders.
On Wednesday, the NFL released the 2025 schedule, giving everyone a look at what’s ahead this year.

Commanders fans will likely be checking the schedule after last year’s resurgence of the franchise, where the team won 12 games. The team went on to the playoffs but made and made a deep playoff run for the NFC Championship Game, before losing to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Washington Commanders 2025 schedule released with a host of primetime games
The team will play in five primetime games this season, as the team gathers more national attention. Washington also went out and improved their roster in the offseason, adding to the already bubbling excitement from the Commanders faithful.
“Well, they pushed the chips to the front of the table. And when we got Deebo Samuels and Tunsil, that shows you right there that they are not playing around,” said fan Jesse Stevens, a season ticket holder.

Jesse and many other Commanders fans are looking forward to year two from their star quarterback, Jayden Daniels.
“They understand that they have Jayden. The effort to get it done. I like that, there’s no guarantees,” Stevens said.

Commanders fan Jeff Colson said he hopes Daniels will “come back and do better.”
“I think Jayden Daniels is going to do his job, and I think we’re going to take it,” he said. “His rookie season was exciting.”
The Commanders will face the Giants for the regular season opener on Sunday, Sept. 7 at Northwest Stadium.
