Following Thursday’s Week 12 practice, here is the latest injury update on Jaguars’ TE Brenton Strange.
Following Thursday’s practice, here is the latest injury update on Jacksonville Jaguars’ tight end Brenton Strange.
Brenton Strange’s Week 12 practice status
On the first two days of practice this week, Strange has been a limited participant with a hip injury.
It was last Wednesday when the Jaguars designated Strange to return from injured reserve. He practiced all three days last week in a limited capacity but was ruled out of Sunday’s game against LA on Friday.
From the date of Strange’s return to practice, the Jaguars have 21 days to add him back to the active roster and then available on Sundays. That can take place at any time once he is medically cleared to do so.
Strange was placed on injured reserve following the Jaguars’ Week 5 win over the Kansas City Chiefs.
Brenton Strange’s stats this season
Before the injury, he had been a big part of the Jaguars’ passing game success this season, catching 20-of-24 passes for 204 yards.
Along with providing a steady presence to the Jaguars’ passing game, Strange is also a very good blocker at the tight end position and is able to line up across the formation with his versatility.
Jaguars tight end depth chart
The Jaguars have been quite thin at this position as of late. Hunter Long has missed a few games recently as well, leaving Johnny Mundt and Quintin Morris to share the workload at the position.
With how well Morris is playing, especially as a blocker, he may be earning himself more opportunities moving forward.
