GLENDALE – An Arizona Cardinals rookie has a personal connection to the foster care system and wants to give back to the community. Edge Jordan Burch is taking part in “My Cause My Cleats” and has selected to represent the Arizona Children’s Association because of his granddad’s work as a pastor. His granddad would open the doors to his church for the kids in the area that didn’t have family, which gave Burch first-hand experience with these kids.

Burch on what his cause means to him:
“It came to my mind because where I’m from, there’s a lot of kids who don’t have a real family to go to. My granddad would tell us different stories of how some of them didn’t have a family to go back to and they had to go to different places. It snapped in my mind that this would be a good cause.”

The Arizona Children’s Association is determined to serve the state of Arizona for child welfare and behavioral health for the kids in those situations. Burch has been in the Valley for less than six months but wanted to give back to a community that he is ready to call home for the foreseeable future.
The former third-round pick wants the fans to recognize his face and have himself associated with the work he has done around the state. My Cause My Cleats is just the first step for Burch to being remembered for his work on and off the field for the Cardinals.
