The Arizona Cardinals will face the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 12, looking to get back in the win column for just the second time in the last eight weeks. The Cardinals had a number of injury designations this week at practice that were contingent upon what happened during practice on Friday.
Arizona released its Friday injury report, and there are some important updates.
What Is the Latest On the Cardinals’ Injury Report?
Cardinals cornerback Will Johnson returned to practice for the first time in a couple of weeks on Thursday, and running back Trey Benson returned to practice this week after his practice window opened.
Both players are huge pieces on either side of the ball for the Cardinals. What are their latest updates on Friday’s injury report?
Arizona Cardinals Game Status:
RB Trey Benson (Knee) – OUT
LB Baron Browning (Concussion) – OUT
WR Marvin Harrison Jr. (Illness) – OUT
RB Emari Demercado (Ankle) – OUT
S Dadrion Taylor-Demerson (Ankle) – OUT
OL Kelvin Beachum (Groin) – QUESTIONABLE
OL Hayden Conner (Knee) – QUESTIONABLE
OL Will Hernandez (Knee) – QUESTIONABLE
CB Will Johnson (Back/Hip) – QUESTIONABLE

CB Garrett Williams (Ankle) – QUESTIONABLE
The big updates from Friday’s injury report are that Benson and Demercado have both been ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Jaguars.
Benson has been a limited practice participant since Wednesday but is not yet ready to go, and Demercado missed practice all week due to his ankle injury. That leaves Bam Knight, who practiced in full on Friday, and practice-squad call-ups to man Arizona’s backfield.
The Cardinals signed running back Jermar Jefferson to the active roster on Friday and Sincere McCormick to the practice squad.
Arizona will also be without Browning and Taylor-Demerson for a second straight game. Neither defender practiced this week as Browning remains in concussion protocol and Taylor Demerson nurses his ankle injury.
Johnson is listed as questionable, which is a welcoming sign after missing the last two games. The rookie cornerback returned to practice on Thursday and was a limited participant both Thursday and Friday.

Johnson is the Cardinals’ best cornerback and ranked No. 9 in the entire NFL, according to PFSN’s CB Impact. Coach Jonathan Gannon announced on Friday morning that offensive lineman Jonah Williams is going on injured reserve and would need surgery that would end his season.
On that note, the Cardinals have three linemen who practiced on a limited basis all week and are questionable to play. Conner had his first whole week of practice since his 21-day window opened, and he would need to be activated to play on Sunday.
While the Cardinals enter Sunday battered, the Jaguars are dealing with some key injuries as well.
Receiver Brian Thomas Jr. has been ruled out with an ankle injury, and defensive end Travon Walker has been ruled out with a knee injury. Jacksonville has two other players ruled out and three players listed as questionable.
