MACON – The Choctaw County Chargers and Noxubee County Tigers had met earlier this season in Ackerman in a defensive battle that went down to the wire and ended with a blocked field goal for a 8-7 Tiger win. At Noxubee, the game shifted into a high-scoring affair that was not be in hand until the final play.

After taking a lead late, the Chargers saw Noxubee County drive down the field and scored a game-winning touchdown in the final minute of a 34-33 win. The game ended in heartbreak on the final play as KJ Cork’s Hail Mary pass fell incomplete.
