Jonah William’s shoulder injury requires surgery and ends his season.

The Arizona Cardinals have lost their starting right tackle for the rest of the season. Head coach Jonathan Gannon announced that Jonah Williams needs surgery to repair his injured shoulder and will miss the rest of the season.

He was placed on injured reserve officially on Friday.

It likely means the end of his tenure with the Cardinals. He will be a free agent in March. He finishes his 2025 season having played in nine games. He played in only six last season, going on injured reserve twice with knee injuries.

With Wiliams out, the starting job goes to Kelvin Beachum. Beachum was banged up this week as well. He is questionable to play against the Jacksonville Jaguars with a groin injury. He was able to participate in Friday’s practice on a limited basis after sitting out two days. If he is unable to go, undrafted rookie Josh Fryar would start.

With the move to IR, the Cardinals also announced that running back Jermar Jefferson was signed to the active roster from the practice squad.
