Tennessee Titans interim coach Mike McCoy ruled wide receiver Elic Ayomanor and safety Xavier Woods out for the Titans’ game against the Seattle Seahawks on Nov. 23 at Nissan Stadium in Nashville.
The Titans (1-9) host the Seahawks (7-3) at Nissan Stadium (noon CT, FOX) for a matchup where the Titans are significant underdogs. Ayomanor’s absence with a hamstring injury exacerbates a receiver room that’s already missing Calvin Ridley and Bryce Oliver. Fellow rookie receiver Chimere Dike is expected to play after participating in practice in full on Nov. 19-21 despite sustaining a chest injury against the Houston Texans.
The Titans remaining receivers on the active roster are Van Jefferson, Mason Kinsey and James Proche II. Proche was just elevated from the practice squad to the active roster this week following Ridley’s and Ayomanor’s injuries.
Woods is missing his second straight game. Fellow safety Kendell Brooks is also out while he’s working through concussion protocol. The rest of the Titans’ safety room consists of Amani Hooker, Kevin Winston Jr., Jerrick Reed II and Mike Brown.
Veterans including DT Jeffery Simmons, TE Chig Okonkwo, OL Kevin Zeitler and CB Darrell Baker Jr., have missed time in practice this week with various injuries but none have been listed as out. Baker’s status on Nov. 21 was listed as questionable.
