If there was ever a week for the Pittsburgh Steelers to get the run game going, it is this one. The Steelers are preparing to take on the Chicago Bears who are coming into this week’s game decimated by injuries on defense. The Bears put out their game-status report for this week’s game and all three of their listed starting linebackers have been ruled OUT with injury.

With Noah Sewell, Tremaine Edwards and T.J. Edwards all out, the Bears will have to scramble to fill those spots. The most likely scenario is the Bears run five defensive backs in their base defense and rotate in some combination of D’Marco Jackson and Ruben Hyppolite to fill the void. Jackson has only 32 defensive snaps this season with Hyppolite getting just 18 snaps.

Meanwhile the Steelers haven’t released anything official about the game status of starting running back Jaylen Warren. If Warren cannot go, it will be the combination of Kenneth Gainwell and Kaleb Johnson going against the banged up Bears defense.
