Atlanta adds another offensive weapon in the second round of PFSN’s latest mock.

The most frustrating thing about the Atlanta Falcons‘ abysmal start to the 2025 season is that they have no first-round pick to look forward to in 2026. The team sent that pick to the Los Angeles Rams during the 2025 NFL draft to move up for Tennessee edge James Pearce Jr.

While Pearce has played well, the fact that the Falcons are once again on track to miss the playoffs has many fans and analysts questioning the trade. Making matters worse, starting quarterback Michael Penix Jr. is out for the season as injuries have begun to pile up for Atlanta.

Wide receiver Drake London is expected to miss some time with a knee injury. No. 2 wide receiver Darnell Mooney has been dealing with injuries all season long and has just 224 yards this season. Since the Falcons released slot receiver Ray-Ray McCloud a few weeks ago, there is a need for another wide receiver.

Pro Football Sports Network analyst James Fragoza released a new three-round mock draft that has Atlanta selecting Tennessee wide receiver Chris Brazwell II in the second round.

Round 2, Pick 42: WR Chris Brazzell II, Tennessee

A 6’5″ and 200-pound vertical threat? Sign me up! Chris Brazzell II isn’t the full package at WR, but his ability to high-point downfield passes is immensely valuable, and when paired with Drake London, it’s deadly. — James Fragoza, PFSN

Brazzell has 51 receptions for 862 receiving yards and eight touchdowns this season for the Volunteers. With size, speed and big-play ability (16.9 yards per reception), Brazzell has “starting NFL wide receiver” written all over him. In the third round of PFSN’s mock draft, the Falcons were projected to add Indiana safety Amare Ferrell:

Round 3, Pick 73: DB Amare Ferrell, Indiana

Amare Ferrell anchored an Indiana defense that ranked sixth nationally in points allowed and helped earn a College Football Playoff berth last year, compiling 49 tackles and four interceptions. At 6’2″ and 200 pounds, his impressive versatility and athleticism make him a rising 2026 NFL Draft prospect, especially with his Hoosiers now 11-0. — James Fragoza, PFSN

This pick would seem to fill less of a need as the Falcons have two quality safeties in Jessie Bates III and rookie Xavier Watts. With fourth-round pick Billy Bowman Jr. also thriving as the team’s nickel corner, Atlanta could potentially look to other positions. However, it’s not out of the question if Ferrell continues to play well.
