The Pittsburgh Steelers and Chicago Bears are going head-to-head in Week 12 this Sunday in the windy city, and prior to the game both teams have found out they will, or won’t, be without some key players. For the visiting Steelers, it was announced Saturday they will have both Cam Heyward and Darius Slay available to them.
According to Burt Lauten, the Steelers director of Public Relations, the team is upgrading both defenders from Questionable, and both will play Sunday.
The #Steelers are upgrading DT Cam Heyward & CB Darius Slay from their previous injury status designation. Both players are no longer questionable on the status report and are expected to play on Sunday in Chicago.

Heyward was listed as just having time off this week until he was spotted in a walking boot Friday. It was then the Steelers labeled him as having an ankle injury and had him listed as questionable for the game. Slay was working his way through the concussion protocol, and finally cleared every hurdle to be able to re-join the defense this Sunday.
For those wondering, there was no change in Aaron Rodgers designation, and the quarterback remains questionable. It is safe to say the Steelers will likely keep this a game-time decision, not just due to the nature of the injury, but also forcing the Bears to not know who will be the starting quarterback.
As for the Bears, they were hoping to get two key defensive backs back in the fold for the game Sunday in Kyler Gordon and Jaylon Johnson. Both were listed as questionable for the game, but according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, both won’t be activated off Injured Reserve (IR) for another week.
Bears defensive backs Kyler Gordon and Jaylon Johnson – both questionable for Sunday vs. Pittsburgh – won’t be activated this week, per sources.
But the team is hopeful that both could come off IR for next week against Philly if all goes well.

For the Bears, this means they won’t just be without these two defensive backs, but also their top three inside linebackers who have already been ruled out of the game.
