The season opener was much tighter than most people thought it would be and most people expect another last possession game type Sunday. I’m rolling with the Super Bowl champs and taking my wager on the spread.

BET EAGLES -3 (-110).

I’ve seen a ton of people jumping on Dallas here, and I get it. They just looked great Monday night, the offense is loaded, and the vibes around them feel really good right now. But the more I think about this matchup, the more I keep circling back to the Eagles.

This defensive unit is fast, physical and extremely well-coached, and I trust it to make things uncomfortable for Prescott all game. DC Vic Fangio is going to throw different looks at him, pressure the pocket, and force quick decisions — and that’s where mistakes usually happen.

Sure, the Eagles’ offense hasn’t been perfect and the offensive line injuries matter. But I don’t need them to be explosive. just avoid the dumb penalties, and stay in manageable situations. If they can run the ball and control tempo even a little, that defense will take care of the rest.

Dallas has playmakers, but let’s not ignore who they’ve been beating up on. This is a completely different level of opponent. Philadelphia doesn’t beat itself, protects the football well, and plays with an edge in games like this.

Rivalry spot, big moment, tough environment — those are usually games where the Eagles lean into their identity. And right now, their identity is defense, discipline, and grinding teams down. That’s why I’m laying the points with Philadelphia.
