GLENDALE – The Arizona Cardinals are in the trenches this week at home. At 3-7, and currently on a four-game home losing streak, moral couldn’t be lower for the fans going to be in the building today vs. the Jacksonville Jaguars. Many experts and fans across the Valley believe head coach Jonathan Gannon and his staff are playing for their job the rest of the year, which is why this ESPN NFL analyst believes Arizona can pull off the upset.

Analyst Ben Solak stated how a desperate Cardinals team has had a rough two-week stretch, but with how desperate they are, he can see them turning it around in a major way.

Solak on why he believes in Cardinals in Week 12:
“Arizona’s past two games have been embarrassing: 44 and 41 points apiece surrendered to divisional opponents. But early first-quarter deficits have thrown their games off script, and I still believe in this Brissett-led offense against a Jaguars defense that needs turnovers to be successful. Arizona is 3-7, but that coaching staff is fighting for their jobs. I expect a desperate home performance.”

Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon walks off the field after their 41-22 loss to the San Francisco 49ers at State Farm Stadium in Glendale on Nov. 16, 2025.
Gannon’s squad went 6-3 last year at home, which has been completely flipped this season at 1-4. Outside of last week, the team’s previous three home losses came from a total of eight points. In all those games, Arizona tied or took the lead late and had an opportunity to win the game but failed under pressure.
Every Cardinals game this season has raised the blood pressure of fans watching at home and in the stadium. However, no one’s blood pressure will be higher than Gannon, who’s 15-29 career coaching record puts him next in line out the door. Unclear if owner Michael Bidwill would want to pay out two coaches who weren’t work for the franchise, the other one being Kliff Kingsbury till 2027.
Regardless, Gannon can’t take this team and will have to follow Solak’s advice of coming out desperate and coaching for his job in Week 12.
