CHICAGO — The Pittsburgh Steelers head to the Windy City to face the Chicago Bears in what will a highly contested matchup between two teams leading their divisions.
Multiple injuries have changed the trajectory of this matchup, with starting Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers being the key player who is out. Rodgers is not playing after fracturing his left wrist a week ago. He pushed to play but could not get the clearance.
It seems the team doctors are not completely checked off on the safety part of this, and want to give Rodgers another week before he returns to the football field and can protect himself as he is hit on a given play.
The Bears, meanwhile, will be without their top three inside linebackers, top two cornerbacks, and starting left tackle. It is a brutalized team that hopes to stand up with other players absent, and quarterback Caleb Williams will have to be the guy who steps up.
The Steelers have a one game lead over the Baltimore Ravens, who have made a late season push, meanwhile, the Bears remain in a hotly contested NFC North against the Detroit Lions and the Green Bay Packers.
