GLENDALE — Arizona Cardinals rookie defensive lineman Walter Nolen III has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars with a knee injury.
Additionally, offensive lineman Will Hernandez is questionable to return with a hip issue.
It’s a tough look for Nolen, who gave Cardinals fans something to cheer about early on in the game behind a fumble recovery returned for a touchdown after the defense allowed an opening-drive score on the prior possession.
In four games played this year, Nolen has racked up a sack, four tackles for loss, three quarterback hits, a pass defensed and the scoop and score.
P.J. Mustipher is expected to see more run with Nolen now sidelined the remainder of the game.
As for the Hernandez injury, former starter Isaiah Adams is back in the mix along the interior.
Arizona was already down one starting offenive lineman, right tackle Jonah Williams, before the game even started on Sunday.
The veteran lineman will miss the rest of the year with a shoulder issue that requires surgery.
