Quickly after being confirmed to return as head coach next season, Mike Norvell landed another commitment for #Tribe26, and it comes at a position of need. Edge rusher Damaad Lewis has pledged to FSU.

Lewis is a 6-foot-4, 240-pound defensive lineman from Charlotte, NC. He plays for Myers Park High School and has tallied 32 tackles (seven for loss), 15 QB hurries, four sacks, and a fumble recovery this season.

Nebraska and NC State were fellow finalists for Lewis, who had another 20 offers from the likes of Cal, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Minnesota, Mississippi State, Texas, Texas A&M, Southern Cal, and Washington. He’s played in the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas, and his brother is former LSU and current Seattle Seahawk Damien Lewis.

247 Composite considers him a high 3-star and the 461st best player in the nation (49th best DL, 21st best in NC). He was among the best targets left on FSU’s shrinking prep prospect board.
