Malik Nabers’ dissatisfaction with the Giants was palpable in a media post after Sunday’s loss to the Lions, so much so that he had to take it down shortly thereafter.
Nabers, who is out for the season with a torn ACL, was very candid about his thoughts on the offensive play calling in the social media post, even suggesting that the Giants were doing it to lose intentionally.
However, the Giants’ wide receiver took down the post shortly after it had gone up.
“Sometimes I think they b makin us lose on purpose!” Nabers wrote on X. “Cause it’s no way, bro you throw the ball instead of runnin it to make em burn 2 timeouts?? then you dnt kick the field goal.??? Then they have to go down and score!!! Football common sense!!!! Am I missing something?”
The play Nabers was referring to came in the fourth quarter with 3:19 left on the clock and the Giants on the Lions’ 4-yard line holding a 27-24 lead.

What followed was interim head coach Mike Kafka calling for Giants quarterback Jameis Winston to throw the ball on fourth-and-goal on the Lions’ 6-yard line after they failed to find the end zone on the previous three plays, and lost two yards on a run attempt.
The Giants ended up turning the ball over on downs and the Lions marched the other way and kicked a field goal to force overtime, before Big Blue eventually lost the game.
The Giants’ wide receiver has not played since a Sept. 28 game against the Chargers when he came down awkwardly on his right knee while trying to catch a pass from quarterback Jaxson Dart.

Nabers has played in four games and made 18 catches for 271 yards and two touchdowns before the injury occured, which is likely why he’s feeling extra frustrated over what’s transpired with the Giants’ season since then.
The loss on Sunday officially ended any hopes that the Giants could make the postseason, extended their losing streak to six and marked the earliest they’ve been knocked out of postseason eligibility since 1976.
