It appears the Detroit Lions will be donning their throwbacks against the Green Bay Packers on Thanksgiving.
The Lions, who haven’t worn the uniforms since Thanksgiving 2023, teased the look on social media Monday. The combination features a silver helmet (no logo), blue jerseys and grey pants.
“Bringing back the Classics for Thanksgiving,” the Lions wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Thursday’s game is pivotal in the NFC North race. The Lions (7-4) narrowly trail the Packers (7-3-1) and Chicago Bears (8-3) in the division, and a win would vault Detroit over Green Bay and back into the playoff picture; the Lions are currently the 8th seed, behind the Seattle Seahawks (8-3), Packers and San Francisco 49ers (7-4) for a wild-card spot.
The Lions have remaining home contests against the Packers, Dallas Cowboys (Week 14) and Pittsburgh Steelers (Week 16), as well as road matchups with the Los Angeles Rams (Week 15), Minnesota Vikings (Week 17) and Bears (Week 18).
