Chiefs injury report estimation provides status update on several key players

  • November 25, 2025

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – A short week of preparation for a Thanksgiving game against the Dallas Cowboys means the Kansas City Chiefs didn’t practice Monday.

It does mean the team still provided an injury report, though statuses for players are just estimations of what would’ve happened if the team had practiced.

Chiefs tight end Noah Gray (concussion) and right guard Trey Smith (ankle) were each listed as DNPs after both suffered injuries in Sunday’s 23-20 overtime victory over the Indianapolis Colts that caused them to leave the game and not return.

Smith is expected to miss additional time as he deals with high and low ankle sprains, according to a report from NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Wide receivers Rashee Rice (hamstring) and Xavier Worthy (ankle), and linebacker Leo Chenal (knee) were all listed as limited participants on the estimated report.

Rice became the Chiefs’ first 100-yard receiver of the season on Sunday with a 141-yard performance. But he hobbled his way off the field in the fourth quarter and overtime as he battled the injury.

Quarterback Patrick Mahomes (groin) was one of five Chiefs listed as full participants. Among the five was running back Isiah Pacheco, who has missed three straight games with an MCL sprain.

The Chiefs take on the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. The game will be seen live on KCTV.
