Jeremy Cluff writes: “The Packers defeated the Lions in Week 1 in Green Bay, 27-13, but this game is at Ford Field in Detroit, where the Lions are 4-1 this season. The Lions’ running game will shine and Detroit will make the NFC North race even more interesting with a close win.”
Bookies.com: Bet the under in Lions vs Packers game
Bill Speros writes: “The NFC North remains up for grabs. Dan Campbell and the Lions want that ‘Turducken’ for the second year in a row. Last year, they barely escaped the Bears. Chicago coach Matt Eberflus held on to his final timeout and never had the chance to try a potential game-tying field goal. Eberflus took that time-out to the unemployment line. Now, he’s the DC for the Cowboys. The Lions needed OT to beat the Giants at home in Week 12 and missed on a 10.5-point number. Meanwhile, the Packers rolled the hapless Vikings 23-6. The Packers continue to search for answers on offense against winning teams. Meanwhile, Jameis Winston pushed the Lions’ defense to OT before Detroit won 34-27 Sunday. We’ll lean into the under on the short week. These teams combined for just 40 points in Week 1 as Green Bay upset Detroit 27-13.”
The site’s formula predicts that the Lions will win the NFL Week 13 game against the Packers.
ESPN: Lions have a 54% chance to beat Packers on Thanksgiving Day
The site gives the Packers a 45.6% shot at winning the NFL Week 13 game, with the remaining percentage accounting for a tie.
Dimers: Lions 26, Packers 23
It writes: “After extensive simulations, our model gives the Packers a win probability of 38%, while the Lions have a win probability of 62%.”
Sportsnaut: Detroit Lions 24, Green Bay Packers 17
Matt Johnson writes: “It’s an NFL classic: the Detroit Lions hosting the Green Bay Packers on Thursday Night Football. Neither NFC North contender has been quite as good as everyone expected coming into the season. At the very least, we haven’t seen the dominant version of the Packers that we saw in the regular-season opening victory over Detroit. Green Bay really doesn’t have the pass-catching threats who can create separation from the Lions’ secondary. Meanwhile, Detroit should be able to run the football effectively enough to create third-and-shorts that prevent Micah Parsons and Co. from pinning their ears back to get after Jared Goff. In the end, we think Detroit’s advantages in the run game and its superior pass-catchers dictate who comes out on top.”
