The holiday season is approaching, and the Kansas City Chiefs are keeping busy on and off the field. The community that supports them during games is receiving assistance from a perennial All-Pro defensive standout.

According to a KMBC News report last week, almost 200 cars lined up for the Kansas City Dream Center’s 8th annual Thanksgiving turkey giveaway. Chiefs defensive lineman Jones was among the dozens of volunteers handing out the holiday meals.

“I was one of those kids that was unfortunate, so I think it’s important for me to utilize my position to give back,” said Jones to reporters, “The love is equal and very mutual throughout the city. I love giving back, I love the people of Kansas City, I think time is the most valuable piece that you can offer someone.”

Chris Light Co. also donated turkeys, and many of the sides were provided by Joe’s Kansas City BBQ. The Chiefs will look to build on their momentum from defeating the Indianapolis Colts last Sunday. They will travel to Dallas for their much-anticipated Week 13 matchup with the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving.
