The Buffalo Bills are turning to a 32-year-old to help fix their woes in the receiving room.

On Tuesday, Buffalo announced that it had signed veteran wide receiver Brandin Cooks. The receiver joins the Bills after a 10-game stint with the New Orleans Saints in 2025. To date, the 2025 season has not been a productive one for Cooks. He has registered 19 receptions for 165 yards and no touchdowns this year. To be fair to Cooks, New Orleans’ quarterback play has been among the worst in the league this season.

The veteran receiver requested his release from New Orleans, and the Saints agreed to part ways with him recently. It was reported earlier in the day that Cooks was hoping to join a contender such as the Bills, Denver Broncos or Los Angeles Rams. He was able to get his wish with the Bills.

How much Cooks has left in the tank is yet to be determined. He recorded just 259 yards last season in Dallas over 10 games, but had recorded over 600 yards in the two seasons before that.

Cooks has shown himself to be a quick study in his career, which could help him get on the field quickly with Buffalo. Since joining the league in 2014, Cooks has played for the New Orleans Saints (in two stints), New England Patriots, Los Angeles Rams, Houston Texans and Dallas Cowboys. His ability to adapt to new offenses should help him get on the field quickly with the Bills.
