After a slow start to his rookie season, Chicago Bears tight end Colston Loveland was starting to field criticism about whether or not he was worthy of a top-10 draft pick.

But the Michigan product has been making a massive impact as of late, putting up impressive numbers while the Bears’ offense continues to light up the scoreboard.

Loveland’s production has been among the NFL’s best at the tight end position in recent weeks:

Colston Loveland over his last 5 games among all NFL TEs:

300 yards — 3rd
0 drops — 1st
3 TDs — T-2nd
133 YAC — 5th
156.3 passer rating when targeted — 2nd
12 first downs — 5th
5 missed tackles forced — T-2nd

He only has 25 targets — 11th most in that time-span. pic.twitter.com/J4m8WRLAZ7

The No. 10 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, Loveland is one of many mouths to feed in Chicago’s star-studded group of pass-catchers, but he’s clearly developing trust and chemistry with Caleb Williams. That connection continues to grow every week, making the entire offense that much more dangerous.

If he continues to develop at this rate, Loveland should have no problem living up to the high expectations that come along with his draft slot.
