Green Bay Packers coach Matt LaFleur updates injury status for Keisean Nixon, Lukas Van Ness and Josh Jacobs, among others.

GREEN BAY − Here’s the latest injury report from the Green Bay Packers before they face the Detroit Lions on Thanksgiving Day.

The Packers didn’t practice Nov. 24 and held a walk-through practice Nov. 25.

Karl Brooks (ankle), Lukas Van Ness (foot) and Savion Williams (foot) did not participate in team activities.

Javon Bullard (ankle), Edgerrin Cooper (foot/shoulder), Matthew Golden (wrist), Nate Hobbs (knee), Josh Jacobs (knee), Keisean Nixon (neck), Jayden Reed (IR/foot/shoulder), Zach Tom (back), Quay Walker (neck) and Dontayvion Wicks (calf) were limited participants in practice.

Keisean Nixon injury update

Packers cornerback Keisean Nixon dropped out of the first quarter of the team’s game against the Minnesota Vikings due to a stinger in his neck after running into a teammate on the sideline.

Per the team’s estimated injury report on Nov. 24, Nixon would’ve been held out of practice but was upgraded to a limited participant Nov. 25.

“He’s a guy that we will absolutely give up until game time to see if he can go,” Packers coach Matt LaFleur said during his Nov. 25 news conference.

Packers defensive end Lukas Van Ness returned to game action against the Vikings after missing several games due to a foot injury, but played in just six snaps.

His game status is unclear after being estimated as a non-participant during Nov. 24 practice and being out on Nov. 25.

“I think we all were thinking he’d be further along than where he is, and unfortunately he’s where he’s at,” LaFleur said. “It’s a day-to-day thing.

“I wouldn’t say it’s a setback, it’s just where he’s at. He thought he’d be able to go, and he tried to go, but he wasn’t feeling it.”

Quay Walker injury update

Packers linebacker Quay Walker, who missed practice all last week because of neck stinger, was ruled out of the Vikings game. He was a limited participant in the Nov. 25 practice.

Josh Jacobs injury update

Packers running back Josh Jacobs suffered a knee injury in Week 11 against the New York Giants. He missed practice Nov. 19 and was a limited participant the next two days before he was ruled out of the Vikings game. He was a limited participant in the Nov. 25 practice.

“We’ll see how he responds. We didn’t have a full practice. Everything was walkthrough today,” LaFleur said. “So, we’ll just see how he’s feeling on game day.”

Matthew Golden injury update

Packers receiver Matthew Golden, after being a limited participant in practice during the week, missed the Vikings game due to shoulder and wrist injuries.

He missed the Week 10 game against the Philadelphia Eagles due to the injuries, played the next two games against the Carolina Panthers and New York Giants, but dropped out of the Giants game. He was a limited participant in the Nov. 25 practice.

Nate Hobbs injury update

Packers cornerback Nate Hobbs, who has missed the last three games due to an MCL sprain, has participated in practice for the first time since the injury. He was a limited participant in the Nov. 25 practice.

Jayden Reed injury update

Packers receiver Jayden Reed made his return to practice Nov. 21 to officially open his three-week practice window to be activated off injury reserve after having surgery on his foot and collarbone in September. He was a limited participant in the Nov. 25 practice.
